TREK KALAW - IN DEIN

From Kalaw to Inlay Lake

To  be  able  to  fully  appreciate  and  enjoy  your trekking  experience  each  participant  is  given  the assistance  of  a  porter.  Each  meal  at  each  stop  is cooked  on  location.  In  each  monastery  mosquito nets and bedding are provided.

DAY 1: KALAW>DANU VILLAGE(Lunch, Dinner

The  trek  starts  from  the  hotel.  Arrive  at  a  Palaung village after a 3-hour trek through forests, as well as tea plantations  that  are  situated  on  hillsides.  Lunch  there and stay for 2 hours. After lunch, trek for 3 hours, partly using a railway track, then continue through villages and fruit orchards. The trail goes up and down before you arrive at a Danu ethnic-group village. Dinner and lodging in the monastery.

DAY 2: DANU VILLAGE>TAUNG YO (Breakfast, lunch, dinner)

After  breakfast  hike  uphill  for  45  minutes…continue along a ridge for 30 minutes. A downhill trek for 2 hours will take you into Pa-O land. Pa-O, a large ethnic group of peasants, cultivate fields of potatoes, ginger, peppers, garlic and sesame.
After a picnic lunch at a lovely location, you will trek for 3 hours through terraced paddy fields and fields where
you can see people working, either in the rain or in full sunshine. Overnight in Taung Yo village.Dinner and lodging in the monastery

DAY 3: TAUNG YO> IN DEIN (Breakfast, lunch, dinner)

Less uphill and more downhill trekking on the last day. After breakfast, hike uphill a little bit and then down to reach the In Dein Pagoda with its 17th century stupas. Lunch in this splendid and historical setting where the trek ends. Stroll down a long corridor where there are many merchants of local handicrafts, then continue to the jetty where a boat awaits you that will bring you back to either your hotel or Nyaung Shwe
