DAY 1: YANGON
Airport welcome and hotel transfer. Visit Pagoda Chauk Htat Gyi. The Reclining Buddha here, along with Bago’s, is one of the largest in Myanmar.A visit to the National Museum is very useful to understand Myanmar culture and traditions.Afternoon: Visit the Botataung Pagoda where is located a much venerated Buddha relic, and a beautiful Buddha statue which used to be exhibited in London’s British Museum. To enjoy a beautiful sunset, visit the Shwedagon Pagoda, one of the most venerated
Myanmar pagodas, which also holds a high place in Buddhism.
DAY 2: YANGON>BAGAN
Flight for Bagan Nyaung U.Airport welcome and hotel transfer.Discovery of Bagan plain. Built by king Anawrahta, Bagan was the capital of 1st Bamar dynasty. At the 10th century the plain was covered by more than 10,000 temples and pagodas. After centuries and the 1976 earthquake, more than 2,500 remain.Guided tours of the most beautiful temples and pagodas such as Ananda, Thatbynnyu, Htilominlo, Dammayangyi, Sulamani, Shwezigon, Ah Lo Daw Pyae etc. are provided. Sunset from the terrace of a pagoda.
DAY 3: BAGAN
Promenade in Myinkaba, a lacquerware village. Its pagoda Manuha contains sandstone carvings which deserve to be seen.Visit lacquerware workshops, Shwezigon Pagoda and the underground temple Kyauk Gu Umin. Return by the Irrawaddy river at sunset.
DAY 4: BAGAN>MANDALAY
Flight for Mandalay. First discover the city and visit the Shwenandaw Monastery and Kuthodaw Pagoda. After lunch, boat to Mingun. Visit the giant unfinished pagoda of king Bodawpaya and Myatheindan Pagoda with its 7 circular terraces.To finish the day visit the Pagoda on Mandalay Hill...sundown from its terrace is quite special.
DAY 5: MANDALAY
By road visit Sagaing Hill. In Amarapura visit Mahagandayon Monastery at monks lunch time. Visit the craftsmen district. In the afternoon, visit the Mahamuni Pagoda. Sunset promenade on U-Bein Bridge. Visit Kyauktawgyi Pagoda for its mural paintings. Cross back the lake in a sampan boat. By road back to Mandalay.
DAY 6: MANDALAY>PINDAYA>INLAY LAKE
Flight to Heho. Through the Shan hills transfer to Pindaya. Visit a cave that contains thousands of Buddhas. Before taking the road to Inlay Lake, visit a mulberry paper and umbrella workshop. Boat transfer to hotel.
DAY 7: INLAY LAKE
All day boat excursion through floating gardens and Inthas villages. Visit a traditional market, silk weaving and goldsmith workshops. Visit Phaung Daw U Pagoda, the superb site of In Dein, with its 12th century stupas.
DAY 8: INLAY LAKE>YANGON
Boat transfer to Nyaung Shwe. Visit its Shwe Yan Phye Monastery. Road to Heho and flight to Yangon. Hotel Transfer.
DAY 9: YANGON >YOUR COUNTRY
Visit downtown and Sule pagoda. Visit the famous handicraft market, “the Bogyoke Market” and the Zawgyi House.Free afternoon. Airport transfer to catch your returning flight.
